Hello and welcome to Dottir! I am so excited you're here. I've been dreaming of opening an online store for years and in January of 2020, I finally started the process of launching Dottir. I am a stay-at-home mother so I slowly built the brand from the ground up during nap times and quiet evenings at home. 

Then came COVID-19... Priorities shifted. Life changed. I had to pause. 

Months later, the world is still turning and I'm finally ready (again) to launch the shop. 

I chose the name Dottir for a few reasons-- one because not only am I a daughter but I also have a daughter of my own. And since visiting Iceland years ago, I've been inspired by its beauty and culture and more recently, by its progressive statistics on gender equality. For more on those, see "What is a Dottir?"

Dottir strives to outfit women with beautiful clothing to make them feel confident and powerful and hopefully inspire other women to do the same.
