This technique produces a durable and long-lasting finish, far superior to basic decorative gold-plated costume jewelry, which typically features 5-7 times less gold. Acid gold plating, originally developed for the electronics industry, offers excellent wear resistance and makes our Gold Overlay jewelry a reliable alternative to solid 14kt gold. This option provides a luxurious look and feel without the high cost of solid gold.
